Shelters customised for a beautiful natural themed parkland that caters for all ages and abilities
There is no end of fun at this landmark park, which boasts an expansive nature playground, water play and numerous shaded picnic areas. Designed for inclusivity, each play and amenity element is crafted for maximum enjoyment by users of all ages and abilities.
Inspired by the beautiful natural bushland, coastline and wetlands of Kwinana, this park incorporates this theme through the well-considered design elements.
With a strong design intent, the architect needed a custom solution to compliment the palette of natural materials featured in the space. Working with Josh Byrne & Associates, we adapted our standard skillion shelter to a custom size with timber clad columns. The largest shelter dubbed ‘The Patio’ also features a custom enclosed kitchenette, which is available for hire by groups of up to 40 people.
We also designed and fabricated a metal frame toilet building to achieve an incredible design outcome within the tight budget. An aesthetic masterpiece, this structure included laser cut shade screens, with timber clad columns and a soaring roofline to fit with the landscape design. The building contained a number of toilet cubicles, an adult disabled Changing Place, internal and external showers, and a large service room to house the water park pumping station.
