The Stargate Shopping Centre in Baldivis, nestled in the Spires Estate, opened in July to offer a welcoming environment for the local community. Exteria collaborated with Tim Davies Landscaping, a leader in landscape design and construction in Western Australia, to bring this vision to life. Our task was to provide sustainable and stylish outdoor furniture that complements the centre’s modern landscape design.
Challenges + needs
The Shopping Centre aimed to create a comfortable, visually appealing, and sustainable environment for its visitors. The design brief called for furniture that would not only withstand the rigours of daily use but also contribute to the aesthetic appeal of the landscape. Sustainability was a priority, as the centre wanted to integrate environmentally friendly elements into its design to reflect its commitment to sustainability and community well-being.
How we helped
To meet these needs, we provided our Vasse Seats and Fuego Bins, carefully selected to align with the landscape design vision crafted by Tim Davies Landscaping. The Vasse Seats, made from recycled plastic and timber with composite slats, were chosen for their durability, eco-friendliness, and modern aesthetic. These seats offer a long-lasting solution that resists wear and tear in outdoor environments, requiring minimal maintenance while enhancing the visual appeal of the shopping centre.
In addition, the Fuego Bins were installed to offer functional waste management options without compromising on style. Featuring a classic design with a distinctive rounded hood, the Fuego Bins blend seamlessly into the shopping centre’s environment, providing both elegance and practicality.
An outstanding result
Since the installation, Baldivis has seen a surge in positive feedback from the community. Visitors appreciate the improved aesthetics and functionality of the new furniture and bin surrounds. The project resulted in a beautifully landscaped area that combines functionality, durability, and sustainability, reinforcing the centre’s commitment to quality and eco-friendly practices.
